Dave Rempis, years ago, launched Areophonic Records. I am a great enthusiast about this label. Dave's playing has always affected me deeply. He does come out of the Vandermark era with exceptional bravura; I knew him when he first played in the Chicago cadre of players. Jason on vibes and Joshua on bass are outstanding players. I do not know the drummer, unfortunately.
I'm also a big fan of Aerophonic — can you believe after 11 years and so many releases (coming up on #44), he hasn't lost money on an album yet?
